Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are the terms and conditions upon which Fredericks of London makes this website available to you and the services we provide for delivery of flowers and other products.

1. Products

1.1 All products are subject to availability. Fredericks of London reserves the right to change all or some of the contents or packaging for all requested flowers and products and provide an item of equal or greater value without notice.

1.2 Some products may be delivered in bud to ensure a longer life.

1.3 Fredericks of London may have products which can be harmful or poisonous to certain individuals, please contact us on 01279 874 129 if you require further information before submitting an order.

1.4 In the event that we are unable to supply the Fredericks of London product or suitably substitute a product, we shall notify you as soon as possible. We will reimburse your payment in full no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date.

2. Prices

2.1 All prices include VAT charged at 20%.

2.2 Only one service charge will apply, when ordering flowers and gifts for same delivery to the same address.

2.3 Next day delivery items will be dispatched for Next Day Delivery using either one of our Fredericks of London member florists or sent by our courier service in a gift box.

3. Orders

3.1 We require complete, accurate details of the recipient, including an accurate recipient name, address details, postcode and contact telephone numbers, so Fredericks of London can deliver your requested gifts on the date specified.

3.2 Full payment details must be given for your order to be processed. All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

3.3 Please contact us on 01279 874 129 if you are experiencing any problems processing your order, credit or debit card details.

3.4 We will automatically send you an email confirming your order details to the email address you supplied us upon registration.

3.5 For future correspondence, you will be issued with an order reference number.

3.6 Orders for alcohol products cannot be accepted from customers or be delivered to any recipient under the age of 18 years.

3.7 You are consenting to be bound by our Terms and Conditions by clicking the proceed button on the order form.

3.8 Should we fail to deliver your product, we are at liberty to reimburse or compensate for this.

3.9 There are no deliveries carried out on a Sunday (Mothers Day only exception) or on a Bank Holiday. Orders that are received on these days will be processed on the next available working day.

3.10 To avoid problems or delays, please give correct details, such as day time contact telephone and mobile numbers, e-mail and full address with post code of the intended recipient.

3.11 Fredericks of London online discount voucher codes can only be used for purchases made from the Fredericks of London website.

3.12 We are unable to accept any voucher codes through our Fredericks Designer Flowers sister company or website.

3.13 Only one voucher code can be used per order, and must be entered at the point of placing your order on Fredericks of London website in the discount box provided on the payment page.

3.14 Discount voucher codes entitles you to a percentage discount of the product item value and not a discount for the delivery charge.

3.15 Voucher codes cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.

3.16 We cannot be held responsible for non-availability of the Fredericks of London website if use of the Voucher codes discount is unavailable.

3.17 Fredericks of London only deliver within Mainland UK.

3.18 Under the Licensing Act of 1964 (UK) and 1976 (Scotland) it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy, or attempt to buy, alcoholic liquor. It is an offence under Sections 32 and 33 of the Intoxicating Liquor Act 1988 (Ireland) for any person under 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor. It is an offence under Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1990 for any person under 18 to buy, or attempt to buy, intoxicating liquor.

3.19 Changes to these terms and conditions may be made at any time, the latest terms and conditions will be displayed on the Fredericks of London website.

3.20 Under extreme circumstances beyond our control, some orders cannot be fulfilled on the same day. As a result, please acknowledge that delivery will be completed as near as possible to your chosen delivery date.

4. Delivery

4.1 Service charges apply as follows:-

Local Delivery within a 10 mile radius of CM6 1RZ £6.99

4.2 Customers who request delivery in a remote rural area will be advised prior to any delivery taking place of any additional delivery charges that may occur.

4.3 Same Day Delivery will be carried out locally within a 5 and 10 mile radius of postcode CM22 6NZ to local recipients between 8 AM and 6 PM, this applies to all orders placed before 3pm on that day. After 3pm Next Day Delivery Applies. Exception: Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on the following Monday.

4.4 Next Day Delivery products outside a 10 mile radius of CM22 6NZ will be delivered via courier. Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday will be delivered the following day. Saturday delivery will incur an additional delivery charge. Orders placed after 3pm on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday.

4.5 Flower deliveries will not normally be made on a Sunday or UK public holiday (with the exception of Mother’s Day), unless within a 10mile radius. Please contact 01279 874 129 if you require a special delivery at these times to see whether it is possible for us to arrange this delivery request.

4.6 Whilst we agree to ensure that delivery will be on the requested delivery date, you acknowledge that actual delivery will be via Fredericks of London, unless outside the 10 mile radius of CM22 6NZ mentioned in 4.3. Outside this radius, deliveries will be made by our courier or one of our specially appointed florists in your chosen area.

4.7 Delivery to certain locations where a third party recipient is involved, such as hospitals, airports, hotels and ships, the signature of any person authorized to accept delivery on behalf of the organisation shall be accepted as proof of delivery to your chosen recipient. We recommend for hospital deliveries, the hospital accepts Flower deliveries by ward or the goods in section for courier deliveries. We can not accept liability if the flowers are refused in either of these cases, as it is your responsibility to check with deliveries to certain locations.

4.8 In the instance of there being difficulties in delivering your order to the intended recipient we (including the florist or third party delivering your order) reserve the right to contact the recipient using the contact details you provide on the order form. If the recipients’ telephone number has not been registered as Ex-directory, we may be required to trace the recipients’ telephone number in order to achieve a satisfactory delivery.

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 The customer has the right to cancel an order for wine, Champagne, and other non-perishable goods within 7 days after placing the order without giving a reason and before the delivery is made.

5.2 Pre-ordered perishable goods may be cancelled prior to delivery by giving 48 hours notice.

5.3 The consumer can be asked to return the goods and will not be charged for returning them.

5.4 Should the customer exercise their right to cancel, we will return their money to their account, within 30 days of cancellation.

5.5 During busy periods such as Valentines, Mother’s Day and Christmas periods we require 72 hours notice to amend delivery details or cancel a product or item.

6. Complaints, Refunds and Returns

6.1 Fredericks of London is fully committed to providing you with the highest possible floral and gift delivery service. If you are not satisfied in any way with the service that you have received please let us know via email on info@fdflowers.co.uk where your complaint will be dealt with.

6.2 Where our products supplied to you were not of a satisfactory quality, receipt of photographic evidence is required for flowers or goods. If your complaint is genuine and we are rightfully satisfied, a suitable replacement or refund may be given according to your preference. This will not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Where a refund or replacement is provided you may be required to return the unsatisfactory products at our cost.

7. Disclaimer

7.1 We endeavour to have the Fredericks of London website fully operational and free of errors but can not guarantee this will always be the case. We accept no responsibility or liability for any defects or interruption of our service.

7.2 Under these Terms and Conditions any event beyond reasonable control, such as extreme weather, flood or industrial action, renders the provision of Fredericks of London services impossible or impractical, shall release us from our obligations.

7.3 Fredericks of London excludes all liability for any claims, losses, demands and damages, including without limitation, any costs, loss of profits, contracts or business opportunity, loss of data and any other consequential, incidental, special or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, arising directly or indirectly out of or in any way connected with your use or inability to access the Fredericks of London website whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute or otherwise provided that nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions affects or will affect you or the recipients statutory rights in relation to the quality, fitness or description of the Fredericks of London products supplied.

8. Privacy Policy

8.1 We at Fredericks of London will never share our customer’s confidential and personal information with any third parties without prior consent from the customer.

8.2 For all our transactions we use current Internet security methods and technologies to ensure your details are totally secure. We protect passwords, use encryption techniques and install firewalls where appropriate.

8.3 While we strive to protect your personal information, no system can be 100% guaranteed. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us.

8.5 Fredericks of London does not store any customers payment details or records.

8.6 Once an order has been accepted by Fredericks of London your credit or debit card will be authorised and debited accordingly. Details will be sent on your order confirmation via email shortly after you have placed your order.

8.7 After placing your order, you will receive confirmation of your order by email with your unique purchase reference.

8.8 By opting into the send us promotional tab, Fredericks of London will provide information on promotions on products and forthcoming new merchandise, to the email you provide. Should you wish not to receive any more information, please email us at sales@fdflowers.co.uk.

9. Customer Service

9.1 Our complaint procedure is available online using the CONTACT US link.

9.2 We aim to reply to all queries within three working days, and complaints will be dealt with within five working days.

9.3 Due to the perishable nature of Fredericks of London and in order to assist us in resolving any complaints quickly and to our mutual satisfaction, we advise you to make any complaint within 2 working days.

10. General

10.1 We reserve the right to supplement and amend the Terms and Conditions. It is your responsibility as a customer to review the Terms and Conditions on each occasion you access the Fredericks of London service or Site. Changes will be effective 24 hours after the posting of any such change and all subsequent dealings between you and us shall be on the new terms and conditions.

10.2 Additionally, we reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate access to the Fredericks of London Site and/or the Fredericks of London Services for any reason at any time.

10.3 We shall ensure that we comply with the requirement of all current data protection legislation including, without limitation, the Data Protection Act 1998. We shall only use personal data received from you for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

10.4 Your purchase will be deemed to have occurred in the UK. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Can I order from abroad to send to a UK address?
Yes you can order from abroad via credit card or call 01279 874 129, where we can take your order over the phone. We accept Visa and Mastercard, which will be charged in Sterling Currency at the current conversion rate at that time.


Can I pay by cash or cheque?
As we are an online company this is not possible. We are based in Takeley, Essex and in the near future orders can be collected in person, where we will be able to take cash orders.

We do not recommend you send payment details via email as they are not encrypted and could be intercepted.

Security and Data Privacy

Is the Fredericks of London website secure?
Yes, our site is accredited as secure by Geotrust.

Will Fredericks of London sell or share my private data?
No, we will not share your personal information with anyone. When you become a member you will receive newsletters and emails, should you want to opt out of this just let us know, via email to sales@fdflowers.co.uk.


Do the flowers come in a vase?
Some flowers come with a vase, if there is a picture with a vase it will state vase not included or vase included.

How are the flowers packaged?
Our flowers are carefully packaged using a variety of materials, these include gift wrap paper, cellophane wrap, raffia and ribbon. Some products such as hand tied bouquets come in water gel. Deliveries to further destinations are wrapped beautifully with water gel in a large gift box to protect them in transit.

Can I have flowers delivered to business addresses and hospitals?
Yes, we deliver to business addresses and hospitals. To ensure flowers reach the individual, it is your responsibility to provide full accurate information about the recipient in hospital, such as their full name, ward number and full hospital address. You need to check weather the hospital allows flowers to be delivered. Business addresses require full name and full business address and any further delivery instructions can be added upon purchase of your products.

Can I send flowers anonymously?
Yes you can send flowers anonymously. All information provided by the sender is kept anonymous, under Data Protection. The recipient will see the card message, if you choose to send one. If you would like them to know who the flowers are from you can add your name to the message.

Can delivery be guaranteed on a specific Date?
We can deliver on a specific date, except for public holidays and Sundays (See section 4). Under extreme circumstances beyond our control, some orders cannot be fulfilled on the same day, such as extreme weather, flood or industrial action. As a result, please acknowledge that delivery will be completed as near as possible to your chosen delivery date.

What are your shipping delivery policies and charges?
We at Fredericks of London offer 100% satisfaction guarantee. We are not responsible for extreme weather conditions, floods or industrial action. If any problems/damages should occur we will resend at a convenient time.

What happens if there is no one to receive the delivery?
Should the recipient not be home when we deliver, we will leave the flowers in a secure place on the property. We will leave the flowers with neighbours if this is not possible and a card left at the recipients address letting them know where the flowers have been left. In case of a courier delivery a courier will leave a note and deliveries may need to be picked up from the local depot.
